KaishaBase is a B2B market intelligence platform registered and operated in Japan.

When you create an account or use KaishaBase, we collect:

• Account data: Your name, work email address, company domain
• Usage data: Which companies and contacts you view or unlock, search queries, filter usage
• Billing data: Payment information is processed by our payment processing partner. We do not store your card details
• Technical data: IP address, browser type, device type, login timestamps
• Survey data: Industry, team size, and use case provided at signup

We use this data to provide the service, process payments, prevent fraud, and improve the platform.

KaishaBase aggregates and displays information about companies and individuals in their professional capacity. This data is sourced exclusively from publicly available records including:

• The National Tax Agency (NTA) corporate number registry
• Company websites and official press releases
• PR Times and other public press release platforms
• Chamber of commerce public directories
• JPX / EDINET filings for listed companies
• LinkedIn public company pages

The legal basis for processing this data is legitimate interest — the information relates to individuals acting in their professional business capacity and is used for B2B research purposes.

We do not scrape data from behind paywalls or from any source that prohibits automated access.

Any individual whose information appears on KaishaBase may request removal at any time. To request removal:

• Email legal@kaishabase.com with the subject line "Data Removal Request"
• Include your full name, job title, and the company you are associated with
• We will process your request within 14 business days
• Once removed, your information will not re-appear in future data updates

This right applies to individuals. Company-level information derived from public corporate registries may remain on the platform as it constitutes public record.

Active accounts: Data is retained for as long as your account is active.

After cancellation: Your account data is retained for 1 year following cancellation, after which it is permanently deleted. You may request earlier deletion by contacting legal@kaishabase.com.

Billing records: Transaction records are retained for 7 years in accordance with Japanese accounting regulations.

Suppression list: Opt-out records are retained indefinitely to prevent removed data from re-appearing.

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:

• Payment processing partner: Handles payment transactions securely. Their own privacy policy applies to payment data
• Cloud database provider: Data stored within Japan/Asia-Pacific region
• Application delivery partner: Hosts and delivers the platform
• Legal authorities: Where required by Japanese law

KaishaBase uses essential cookies only — for authentication session management and security. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies. No cookie consent banner is required as we use only strictly necessary cookies.

Under APPI and applicable law, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Object to processing of your data

To exercise any of these rights, contact legal@kaishabase.com. We will respond within 14 business days.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email to registered users at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
